  • Brokers and employers answer questions about their professional and personal social media use, and trends are revealed as a result of comparing their responses to previously conducted information exchanges. Other topics in this report include use of mobile devices, experiences with online benefits administration and enrollment, and brokers' views on group disability programs. Results are based on a survey conducted among more than 200 brokers and more than 200 employers in November, 2011.

  • This report highlights the opinions of both brokers and employers on the need for Spanish language communications for group life. These benefits professionals also share their points of view on dental benefits for retirees, "return to work" programs, and features and services that might be appealing value-adds for group disability insurance policies. Findings for this report are derived from a survey conducted in June, 2011 among close to 200 brokers and more than 200 employers.

  • The information in this report is based on the results of an online survey conducted in March, 2011 among more than 225 brokers and more than 200 employers. These benefits professionals share information about their use of social media websites for personal and professional use; results in this portion of the Briefing are compared to findings from a 2009 information exchange. Research participants also provide insights on the value of broker networks, an FMLA program concept, vision insurance, and vision and dental bundling.
